Craftwork Cards Flower Pot.

Evening everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, ours has gone so fast and its Sunday already with not many crafting hours left.. This plant pot a card was made using Craftwork Cards products and I ran the card stock through my e-bosser with a bark effect embossing folder to give the pot some texture. To the top rim of the plantpot I added a patterned paper, then used the candy to make some dimensional flowers which I hot glued to some florist wires that I'd covered with florist tape. I cut some leaves and added these amongst the flowers together with a butterfly from the paper collection.

First Communion Card

Morning All, Today's card was made for a friend who's nephew is attending his first communion this month and was made using a mixture of tattered lace and tonic dies. The text was in a Celtic style font from my pc. Please message me if you require the details.

Happy Crafting

Two beautiful balls of fluff....

Morning everyone, I just wanted to share the good news as two of the eggs our broody hen was sitting on have hatched resulting in these two beautiful bundles of fluff. Isn't  Gods creation wonderful, to think these little beauties hatched from an egg in just 21 days,..... ;-)

Craftwork Cards Potting Shed Plaque

Evening everyone, well what a rainy couple of days we've had here in South Wales and I've been busy working on some cards to enter for Craftwork Cards Design Team so hope they like my entries. This is a plaque I made using the Potting Shed Papers which I love as they are in lovely pastel shades and very pretty.  Hope you like it too. I'll keep you posted as to whether I'm successful or not. :-)

If Friends Were Flowers

Evening my fellow crafter's, I hope you have had a lovely few days. We have been busy with family birthday celebrations and making the most of the warmer weather to transplant veg  from the greenhouse to the garden so I have not done much in the way of crafting so had nothing to show on my blog. However this little card was one I made a little while ago using some lovely stamps by Altenew. Hope you like it...

Spring flowers

Happy May Day everyone, I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend, we are still expecting some little chicks to hatch in the next couple of days, I'll post some pictures as soon as they start hatching, if they do that is. This little thank you card shows off the delicate colours of spring and looks so fresh and crisp. The flowers, leaves and butterfly were cut using my Brother scan n cut and the Doily was a tattered lace die. I coloured the flowers with pastel inks and placed liquid pears at their centres. Hope you like it.

Gavins Scooter

Afternoon everyone, its cold Sunday afternoon here in South Wales but weather forecaster's say were are going to have a heatwave in a few days...... I'm looking forward to thawing out... ;-) The card I'm posting today was made for my daughters partner who dislocated his ankle and broke his tibia in 3 places last weekend. Riding his scooter is out of the question for a few weeks so I thought he'd appreciate this card. The papers and lettering were downloaded and printed using one of my Digi kits by  Daisy Trail called Classic transport and after fussy cutting them, I decoupaged them with 3D foam. Get well soon Gavin xxx

I can do all things in Christ

Afternoon everyone, well its a cold Wednesday here in South Wales with a mixture of sunshine, rain and hail. No sign of any baby chooks yet I bet they are staying inside the egg where it's warm and cosy..lol. Todays card  was made using a rosette which I hand cut and scored, the leaves were a set of flourish dies by Tonic. The hearts were a set of Tattered Lace dies and the sentiment taken from Phillipeans chapter 4, verse 13 and says it all really,  I just wanted to share it with you. God Bless.

A little Bird told me

Happy Wednesday everyone, this mornings card is a joint effort with my other half , Chris, who loves doing watercolour paintings and I have asked him to do me a series of  little birds that I can add to my cards and make some notelets so this is the first of 6. Hope you like it.

Our latest additions

Happy Tuesday

These are the two new additions to our flock and I'm thrilled with them, my husband is so clever and sculpted these for me from some left over chicken fencing (very apt) a fab way of recycling the left overs. So these two beauties have joined our flock and are very well behaved. Here are a few of the rest of the clan...

We are also awaiting the hatch day of 7 eggs that one of the broody hens is sitting on and anticipate there arrival at the end of the month. Pictures to follow, watch this space... ;-)

Have a blessed day...

One for Nan

Morning everyone, todays card was a commission for a neighbours nan who loves spring colours and flowers. The border was a tattered lace die called Tattered Lace Broderie Florentine 3 in 1 Die which is very pretty and versatile too as you can snip into it. The flowers were hand made and I used a leaf die but sadly I cant say what make as I've lost the packaging. Pearl drops were used in the centre of the flower for added bling. The sentiments were also tattered lace sentiment dies. This card needed a box envelope due to the 3D flowers.  Have a great day

Potting Shed

Evening everyone, tonight's card was made using papers from Craftwork Cards and I chose this as I love hedgehogs. In fact I am a carer for a charity called hedgehoghelplinecymru.org.uk and I got involved because I'd heard that hedgehogs are in dire straits. They have been on the decline here in the UK and their numbers had decreased from 40 million to under a million. So as a volunteer I take in sick and injured hedgehogs and offer treatment for their ailments, infestations and injuries. Once they are fully recovered they are then released back into the wild in the hope they will increase in number. If you feel able to make a donation in aid of the charity there is a link on the web site and we would be really grateful as it pays for the drugs and equipment used in caring for these lovely little critters.

Bees Knees

Evening Friends, I love hydrangeas and the backing paper used on this card inspired me to add dimension by stamping smaller flowers and overlaying the design on the paper. I hope you think it works. Each flower centre was highlighted with pearl drops from my stash. the honey comb border, honey jar,  bees and sentiment  were all  done using a stamp collection by Stylish Silhouettes. Hope you like it.

Enjoy the little Things

Morning all, I couldn't resist this collection as I love bees and took up beekeeping late in 2014. All was going really well as I overwintered the colony and in early summer had to split my hive and set up a second one as they had run out of room and were producing queen cells in readiness to swarm. The split went well but unfortunately a couple of weeks later whilst we were on holiday a swarm of wasps cannibalised my hives and I lost both colonies. I decided to store the hives and start again this year so all being well get my queen and starter colony at the end of may. I'll keep you posted in a few weeks how things are progressing

Cherished Charisma fairy

Evening crafters, here is another card using the Tattered Lace Charisma Fairy but in another colour way. To differ it slightly I have also added some trailing Ivy , cut using another tattered Lace Die from the Charisma Ivy and its so effective at adding another dimension to a card. "Beautiful" was stamped and die cut using
