The Journey

Evening Everyone, well it's been an exhilarating but tiring few weeks but we are finally in our new house and most of the unpacking has been done. There are a few boxes left to unpack, but the washers fitted, the fault on the phone line has been repaired  and the TV aerial is up so it's feeling more like home. So now were are going to take our time and enjoy the journey of getting to know the area and plan what we are going to do in the garden as its all laid to lawn at the moment.

Today's card was inspired by Heartfelt Creations dies, hope you like it....

For You

Hi my fellow crafters, well its been touch and go re our house move and we have been on tender-hooks wondering if  we would get confirmation that the move would definitely take place next week as we should have exchanged contracts on Tuesday and it didn't happen. Our purchaser was having to chase paperwork for her purchaser and it proved difficult and she had lots of sleepless nights.Anyway we have just had confirmation from our solicitor that we will be exchanging, completing and moving all on the same day....Monday...Phew what a relief as we were beginning to think that it wasn't going to happen. So I will be signing off for a few days Have a great weekend....

Digi Sketch Tag Card

Afternoon friends, well we are still waiting to exchange our contracts as someone further up the chain  has requested more paperwork relating to our purchasers sale so she is feeling very frustrated that they have left it till the 98th hour to ask for it. It has a therefore delayed our exchange but fingers crossed the sale till goes through as we are virtually all packed ready and the removals people are due to be here at 8am on Monday morning...I'm not sure what we'll do if it all collapses but were trying to remain positive as no news is good news. Todays card is one I made using some craft card stock and uses a vintage tag and some butterflies and bling from my stash. Hope you all have a craftyliscious day..

Keep you posted...... ;-)

A time for boxes

Evening friends, todays post is all about boxes and I made two for my grand daughters in readiness for birthdays coming up later in the year. I plan on putting in a little something with a bit of bling and sparkle and hope they like them. They were made from hammered cream card stock and cut out using a free online template which had the base and lid. I added two tags and home made flowers from my stash.

Snippets of life, kids, home, love

HI, I hope your weekend was lovely in every way crafting friends... We had a lovely one as we spent 3 nights in the midlands grandson sitting for my daughters three boys who are growing up so fast. Stanley is 10 months old, Rowan is 9 and Tyler is 12 and they had an action packed few days as we took them to  Ironbridge for the day on Saturday then Sunday morning they went to football and then the afternoon was spent tree climbing and exploring the nature reserve we visited after we'd had Sunday lunch together. All in all a lovely weekend..

One for the ladies

Morning everyone, just a quick post on this gorgeous summer day. Its beautiful here in Cardiff and hope you are all enjoying the same. There is a lot to be said for retirement as we had a gorgeous day here yesterday too and met with some close friends for lunch which was lovely and that was followed up with a drive along the coast.
Today though having just done some washing I'm now going to do all the ironing as were off to the midlands tomorrow to look after the grandsons as my daughter is going away for a few days so it will be lovely to spend time with them before we move house. So it may be my last post for a little while. I hope you all have a blessed weekend and catch up with you soon.

Circle Flip it card

Morning friends today's card is another flip it card that I have made using the flip it dies by Sissix and they make it really easy to make lovely cards as no measuring is required. I love them as they also come with extra dies to cut the corresponding toppers and to cut the paper to decorate the front of your cards.... So everything has been thought out and you only have to decide your colour scheme and what embelishments to add.... simplicity itself when you need a quick card for someone.

Happy crafting

New Home

Afternoon crafters, still on a theme of moving house hope you like this card. We are hoping to move on the 14th of July so still busy sorting through everything in readiness to downsize and we are having to be ruthless and less sentimental over what to find a new home. Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather. I will keep adding posts after I have found time to do a little crafting as I haven't packed everything yet. I expect that my crafty stash will be the last to be boxed up...Have a great day

We had a fab weekend away in Aberdovy with a group of friends and it was great to take a break from packing and sorting out. Things are progressing with our house move and we hope to get a date for signing and exchanging of contracts and on that theme I decided to take time out and make a card to leave for our purchasers so hope they like it.

Baby Girl Easel Card

Evening  Crafting friends, I wanted to see if I could put this card through my printer to get the background for my topper and am pleased to say it was successful and the flower pattern was from Pink Petticoat. The topper was from my stash and was from a kit previously purchased and I'm not sure where from but thought it would look nice on the front of this card. I added some hand cut flowers and flourishes cut with a Spellbinder D-Lite Sprigs die. For some extra bling I used Wow glitter and some faux pearls.

Have a lovely evening...

I am entering this card into Challenges: Crafting from the heart :- Anything Goes

Purple Passion

Afternoon crafting friends, well its ages since I did anything on my blog as so much has been happening here in Cardiff. We have been busy selling our house and looking for another one to purchase and we are thrilled to have found one we like so fingers crossed it all goes through without any hitches.
We have also been on our annual sailing holiday around the Greek Islands and had a lovely time meeting old friends and new and have come back refreshed to begin packing which is no mean feat when your down sizing and have to choose what you want to keep or pass on.
Anyway I managed to do a little crafting today as I needed a couple of cards for family birthdays coming up so this is one of the cards I made.
