Baby Boy

Morning Everyone, my cousins daughter has had a baby boy so I decided to make her this card in celebration of his safe arrival. I hope you like the clean lines and simple layout which was achieved from applying a piece of plain white paper that had been pierced around the edge to form a border, to my card sock. I used a piercing ruler to get even spacing and straight lines along the edge of this layer. I then embossed another piece of plain white card stock using Couture Creations "Tied Together" embossing folder and applied some pearlescent gilding wax to the surface of the paper to enhance the design and layered it on top of the card. I then added the third and final topper which I'd made previously using a lovely  pram design from Pink Petticoat designs and coloured it in with blue alcohol inks from Promarkers. I then cut out the design using a Spellbinders Nestabilities, Detailed Scallops Die, which is one of my favourites and gives a lovely finish to a topper. I  shaded the edges of the loops to make it "pop" from the card and completed the front with a small butterfly cut using the Spellbinders Shape-ability"Whimsy" die range and enhanced it with two small stick on pearls. I hope she likes it. Please add your comments...

Love heart

Evening fellow crafters these two cards were made at the request of our daughter who is getting married in August. She wanted a  heart design stamped onto a card with nothing else as she doesn't like anything too fancy. So keeping the heart theme I thought I'd use  the two Spellbinders D-Lite dies that I have and I used white card stock for one and ivory for the other. As navy is  colour of the bridesmaid dresses I thought I'd use navy card as a backing to show up the filigree hearts and on the white card I added a bit of bling with some pearlescent glue dots . I then stamped a love sentiment in the corner but will omit this on our daughters card as she wants a wedding invitation on it and I'll also use hammered card to add texture.

Thanks for taking time out to check my blog.

Easter Egg 3

Evening crafters this is the third in the set of Easter cards I've made using the Spellbinders D-Lites Filigree Egg die. The flowers were made using Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms set 2 and 3 and I shaded these with orange and yellow pastels to blend with the cards stock.  The topper was added to complete the card along with an Easter verse on the inner flyleaf. Any further information needed on any of the cards to date, please message me

Easter Egg 2

Hello again friends. This is the second Easter Card that I've made from pastel coloured card stock from my stash. The card is shaded going from light to dark green across the front and back and I liked the effect it has. I cut an egg shaped aperture in the front of the card using a Spellbinders Die D-lites  Filigree egg die and I think you will agree it is very pretty. I adhered a piece of plain paper to the reverse and added a "Happy  Easter" topper to the front that I'd blended with green pastel chalk to blend with the colour of the card. I then made some paper flowers from an Easter patterned paper from my scrap stash and blended the edges of the flowers with green and then adhered them together with a leaf spray to the front of the card. The insides of the card were finished with an Easter celebration sentiment. Hope you like it..

Easter Egg

Hi again fellow crafter's. What a busy weekend we have had looking after our three grandsons, the youngest of whom is 5 months old. It was wonderful to spend time with them though as we don't see them every day as we live in Cardiff and they live in Birmingham. The weather wasn't very kind to us during our stay so we didn't venture far and Tyler the eldest who's 11 had football training to go to and Rowan who' s 8 had a birthday party so Pops already had lots of ferrying to and fro to do. He runs a very good taxi service and hasn't lost the knack of changing baby nappies too. With all the rain and news of flooding I needed cheering up with spring colours and Easter will soon be upon us too hence another Eater card on the crafting agenda. I hope you like the other two that will follow this post as they were made in a similar vein using different colours and flowers. I will describe how I made them in the following two posts. I would appreciate your comments. At the moment I’m just enjoying the opportunity to document my crafting adventure but obviously if I receive a comment on a blog it’s always really lovely & I appreciate that some one has taken the time to read my blog & leave a comment on there thoughts.
Thank you

Happy crafting
Wendy

Vintage card 3

Hi Crafters, this is the third card from the vintage paper stock I downloaded from the internet. It makes a nice male card and you can mix and match the designs as they all complement one another. The made central topper into an envelope by cutting along a line in the design and adhered it to the main card along the edges so that I could slip the tag inside after adding a personal sentiment for my brother. Hope he likes it.

Vintage Card 2

Hi again fellow crafters this is another vintage card using the designs I downloaded from the internet a while ago and I made the card using the same process as my previous post. The central  topper contains a vintage tag to which I added a personal sentiment for the family member. Hope you like them.
