Its a Boy

Evening all, this little easel card was done to submit it into "Fab 'n'Funky Challenge Blog -#207 Animals and I hope this cute little elephant fits the bill. The backing papers and elephant image are from "Pink Petticoat" and I used a Spellbinder Stately Circles die to cut out the toppers and mat and layered them onto the card with 3D foam squares. The bow was made using the 3D Lattice Bow die from Creative Expressions and for a little bling I added a pearl to the centre.  The header of the card has little heart shaped flower petals which I coloured with Spectrum Noir marker pens and to continue the heart shaped theme. I added a little heart shaped pearl at each of the centres.

God Bless......

Make it Sparkle

Afternoon everyone, it's time for another Brown Sugar Challenge Blog #84 and this weeks theme is Make it Sparkle. So I hope you like my entry and good luck to everyone participating this week. My card is a gate fold card and the main image for the front of the card was taken from My Craft Studio CD and was printed onto plain white paper. I needed four copies of the image to make this card and I layered the first copy onto some shaded pink card stock to give some background colour. Then using the second copy of the flower to decoupage and add dimension to the card, I cut out the head and the lower leaf of the flower and adhered them to the main image with 3d foam squares. The whole image of the third copy was cut out and adhered with 3d foam to the inside fold of the card, and finally the last copy of the flower and "For You" sentiment was cut out and then  a lace doily border layered on top and I cut around the flower and leaf to pull them through the aperture to give the effect of it coming through the window. Finally to complete the card some ribbon, pearls and a sentiment were added and WOW glitter sprinkled onto the flower heads for that added sparkle.
Happy Crafting....

Clean & Layered Chocolate Limes

Morning everyone, Todays challenge is from The Card Concept #5 and I just love the colours they have chosen for this week. I think my card fits the clean and layered style and good luck to all those taking part.

The card is hammered plain card stock and I have layered lime and chocolate brown card for the backing. The main paper has been embossed with a lovely Couture Creation embossing folder from their "Dream Boat" 3 in 1 collection.. Onto this I have added a paper ribbon and bow cut with the new dies from Creative Expressions "Finishing Touches range. To complete I've added one pearl and a tiny sentiment tag so that the card remains clean and fresh looking. Have a lovely day xx

Thank you for being my Friend

Happy Monday and Yey, its Mojo Monday again and this is my card for this weeks challenge No 336 and I followed this sketch.
The backing paper I chose is from a Paper Capsule collection from Do-Crafts and chose this one for its vibrant colour. The toppers were cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements "Stately Circles" dies and the leaves were cut using their D-Lite "Sprigs" dies. The flower was made free hand from the left over paper and curled with a ball tool on an embossing mat and I added a pearlescent button for the centre and then blinged the ends of the petals with some "Wow" glitter for extra sparkle. The sentiment was stamped with "Chianti" Color box ink and was from heartfelt Sentiments range by Creative Expressions. Have a great day Everyone and good luck with the challenges..

Poppies

Morning friends, this is the third card using a copy of the poppy series of flowers Chris has done for me and as before I wanted to keep it simple so I cut the image into 3 and mounted it onto red card stock, The centre panel is raised by fixing it onto the card stock with 3d tape to give a pyramid effect.. More cards to follow in the watercolour series tomorrow. Have a marvellous Monday...

Michaelmas Daisy

Sunday evening almost over and a new week begins, I hope you've all had a fab weekend. Todays card is another of my husband Chris's inspirations and it was too good to keep to myself so thought I'd share it with you by making a card with it. I backed the watercolour image onto black card and topped it with a sentiment from pink petticoat and kept it simple to let the flowers do the talking. Hope you like it.

Have a good week...
