Garden Inspiration
Evening fellow crafter's, I hope your weekend is going well and your enjoying some good weather. It's been lovely here in Cardiff and all the daffodils are out and gardening springs to mind but as we were looking after our granddaughter Evie overnight last night, we decided to do some crafting instead. She was kept busy colouring a couple of Tilda designs this morning and raided my stash of butterflies and flowers to stick on her pictures and proudly presented them to her mum and dad when they collected at lunchtime. As all the tools were out, it was an excuse for me to carry on crafting and whilst sorting through my stash, I came across these Kanban backing papers and toppers so decided to do a few quick gardening themed cards. I really must get the trowel and secateurs out next week and tidy the garden after the winter.......

Water colour Poppies
Good evening to all my crafting friends. This card is courtesy of my talented hubby who likes to do watercolour so I asked him to do me some flowers and this is the first so I hope you like it. I wanted to keep the card very clean and simple so that it shows off the lovely poppies. So the main design was cut out with a spellbinder Nestability card creator A-2 Distressed Edges die and mounted it onto plain red card and then onto a hammered cream card stock. To complete I added a love sentiment in matching red Color Box ink. Comments would be appreciated... Night Night

Yellow & Green
Morning everyone, todays challenge is from Less is More and the challenge is using the spring colours yellow and green. I hope this card fits the bill. It was made using "Pink Petticoat" papers and the ribbon and bow were made from the same paper range to coordinate with the colours using Creative Expressions Finishing Touches Lattice 3D Bow Die set. To complete the card, a button was added to the centre of the bow and a sentiment stamped onto card which was made using a Spellbinder die from the "Nestability Labels 9" set and shaded around the edge with "Color Box" ink whilst still in the die. Hope you like it...
Have a great day....

Lets do Cupcakes
This is my Tip Top Tuesday challenge entry for this week. It has three die cut layers for the central topper that were cut using Spellbinder "Majestic Elements" dies. The cupcakes, 7 in total, were made using Couture Creations 3 in 1 stamping, embossing & die cutting set I used Color box inks to stamp the images onto paper and then cut them out with the matching dies from the set. The 5 flowers and bow were from a range by Papermania and matched the paper collection called Capsule collection by Jessie Edwards. the bling was added to some of the cupcakes by using a glue pen and sprinkling with wow glitter. Have a great evening...
Live a Clean Green Life Challenge
Hi everyone , I needed some inspiration this morning so looked for another challenge and found " Twisted Tuesday"and there were some lovely entries so I thought I'd do this card as the request was to add a card containing Green and with no distressing torn edges or splatters. I made this card using Couture Creations 3 in 1 stamping, embossing & die cutting set and its their Dreamboat collection Butterfly Notes. I inked up the main image using a variety of colour inks from Color Box and stamped it onto green card stock. I then repeated it onto cream card stock and cut out the butterfly with scissors and three petals from the flower and adhered them onto the main image to give the butterfly and flower 3d dimension. The music note strip and butterfly were done in the same method and after cutting it out with scissors I adhered it to the card with 3d foam. The Love sentiment was stamped with color box ink and cut out using a Spellbinder Nestability die and was from the "Classic scalloped Ovals Small" range. It was tucked behind the music strip and adhered with 3d foam. I used some glitter along the edges of the butterfly wings for a bit of bling and added a coloured pearl to the centre of the flower to finish the card.
Have a great day..

Mojo Monday- Know your heart
Evening Crafters, well its Mojo Monday 335 card sketch challenge and this is the card I have completed following their sketch so that I can enter. (wish me luck). The papers for the backing and the small square was taken from range by Docrafts PaperMania Capsule Collection and the flower was from their collection too. I cut out the largest square in plain white paper using "Adorning Square" die from Spellbinders "Majestic Element" range. The sentiment was printed from a range by Pink Petticoat and I layered it onto matching paper and cut out the banner shape using a ruler and craft knife. To assemble the flower I took two different patterns and laid them on top of one another then secured with a shaped brad and applied a pearl on top for some extra bling. The leaf was cut using a Creative Expression "Faux Quilled Leaves" by Sue Wilson. Hope you like it and I look forward to next weeks challenge.....
Rhapsody in blue
Morning crafting folk, Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Ours was very family orientated as we had 10 for lunch on Sunday to celebrate a daughters 37th birthday (makes me feel really old), so no time for crafting as lots of prep cooking and washing up were done. It was lovely to get some of the family together though but a pity not all were joining us as they live a lot further away. Todays card was made by cutting out the background with a Spellbinder die from the Nestabilities card creator range called "Enchanted Labels 28. I adhered it to the blue card stock and then used the same card stock and stamped and embossed the vase onto it and cut it out and adhered it onto the card with 3d foam. The stamp collection was from a Card-io Combinations collection. I made the flowers myself by hand by drawing them onto paper and then stamping spots onto them with blue ink from Color-box. I then cut out the flowers and shaded all the edges of the petals then shaped them with a ball tool and foam pad and curled the petals to give more dimension and then layered them onto each other so that each flower had three layers of petals. I then added a flat back pearl to each centre and adhered them to the card. To complete I stamped a small sentiment in the same colour ink and cut it out with a Spellbinder petite labels die and also added some butterflies that I'd cut out with their "Whimsy" die collection. Hope you have a fabulous week ..
Best wishes.. Wendy
